What it is
Melanotan I stimulates melanocytes to produce more melanin — the pigment that gives skin its color and provides UV protection. It produces a natural-looking tan with less sun exposure required.
How it works
Melanotan I (afamelanotide) binds to MC1R receptors on melanocytes, stimulating tyrosinase activity and melanin synthesis. The result is a gradual, natural-looking darkening of skin pigmentation independent of UV exposure.
